Editorial policy
Western Garden Guide aims to make garden information clear, careful and useful. We explain the basis and limits of general guidance, and we correct errors when they are brought to our attention.
Accuracy and scope
We check wording, names and factual details before publication and avoid presenting a broad gardening principle as a guarantee for every western site. Where conditions vary, we say so. Readers should treat advice as general information and consider the particular ground, climate and constraints of their garden.
Independence and partner material
Editorial decisions are kept distinct from commercial arrangements. Sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not determine the conclusions of an editorial article.
Corrections and illustrations
If an article contains an error, readers can send the article title and the detail in question through the Contact page. We review correction requests and update material when warranted. Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence; those illustrations are not documentary photographs.
Start by reading the place
A western garden is shaped by its particular ground and weather, not a single regional recipe. We look at the conditions first, then the choices that follow.
